How SaneBox Works with Your Existing Email Rules
Gmail Users:
- Your Gmail filters will continue working as usual! They run before SaneBox even sees your messages.
- However, if your filters move emails to non-Inbox folders, SaneBox won’t filter them.
Non-Gmail Users:
- Your existing filters will work on emails SaneBox considers “Inbox-worthy.”
- Mail client filters might not work on SaneBox folders, while server-side filters likely will.
- If your filters aren’t working, create a custom folder in SaneBox and train emails to it.
Replacing Trash Filters:
- Disable existing “trash” filters and use SaneBlackHole instead.
- Train SaneBlackHole on emails you want trashed, and it’ll handle the rest.
Apple Mail Users and SaneLater:
- If you want filters or spam filters to work on SaneLater emails, apply them directly within the SaneLater folder in Apple Mail.
