My Organization uses Barracuda. - How do I make sure SaneBox works?
Whitelist SaneBox IP Addresses and Domains
Barracuda’s spam filters might block or quarantine emails sent from or to SaneBox if not properly whitelisted.
Whitelist the following SaneBox domains and IP ranges in your Barracuda settings:
- Domain: sanebox.com
- CIDR Block: 78.153.196.16/28 (This represents a range of IP addresses) 35.231.51.44
Where to do this:
• In the Barracuda Email Security Gateway, go to:
• Block/Accept > IP Filters (for IP addresses)
• Block/Accept > Sender Domain Block/Accept (for domains) ⸻
Ensure IMAP/SMTP Access for SaneBox
SaneBox connects to your inbox via IMAP, not via forwarding or POP.
• Make sure Barracuda does not block IMAP access from SaneBox IP addresses.
• You may also need to allow authentication traffic from SaneBox if Barracuda inspects inbound connections. ⸻
Monitor Quarantine and Logs
After setting things up:
• Check Barracuda’s Message Log and Quarantine to ensure that SaneBox emails (like digests or setup confirmations) are not being blocked.
• You can temporarily disable filtering to test the SaneBox connection. ⸻
Contact Support for Help
If you’re unsure which IPs or rules to apply:
• Reach out to SaneBox Support: support@sanebox.com
• Or contact Barracuda Support to ensure your configuration is allowing third-party IMAP access.
