SaneBox Companion App for iOS

If you are like us, you probably live on your phone. And since SaneBox works invisibly in the background, it has always been 99% mobile friendly. But be honest, didn’t you sometimes wish your SaneBox digest was an iOS App? Wish no more, now it is!

Now you can view all of your digests from all of your email accounts in one app.

How do I connect my existing SaneBox account to my Companion App?

When you first open the app, you’ll need to connect your existing SaneBox account to your app. To do so, launch the app and perform the following actions.

Oauth Users

  1. Enter the email address associated with your SaneBox account.
  2. Once you enter in your email address, the Continue button will turn blue. Click the Continue button to proceed.
  3. If you are using a service that uses Oauth such as Gmail, Office 365, AOL, Yahoo!, and Outlook.com, you will be asked to authorize the SaneBox app like you did when you first signed up for SaneBox on the website. This is normal.
  4. If you have 2 factor authentication turned on, your host may ask you to provide them with a code. This can be done through text message or by providing them the code through your authenticator app installed on your phone. (If you don’t, you can skip this step and step 5.)
  5. Enter the code and then click Next.
  6. After your email host has verified your identity, select Allow to authorize the companion app.
  7. Your digest(s) are now listed based on your Digest schedule.

Password Only Users

  1. Enter your email address associated with your SaneBox account.
  2. Enter in your email password. You can also get a magic link to log you in.
  3. If you’ve activated 2FA for your SaneBox account, you’ll be asked for that generated code here. (If you don’t, you may skip this step.)

You can use this to select multiple emails at once and perform bulk actions.

Scheduling your Digest.

  1. Select the Gear at the top right hand side of the screen.
  2. Select which account you want to schedule the digest for.

What can I do on my settings page?

  1. Send Digest Emails. This allows you to decide whether you want us to still send you digest emails now that you are using the app.
  2. Customize Actions. Want a SaneBlackHole button so you can easily rid yourself of annoying marketing emails? Now you can.
  3. Show SaneBlackHole suggestions. Your digest will clue you in onto which services are commonly trained to SaneBlackHole.
  4. SaneBox Subscription. You’ll be taken to our site to view and update your subscription information.
  5. Sync Contacts with SaneBox. We will periodically upload your contacts to ensure they stay in your Inbox.
  6. Schedule Digest. This allows you to schedule digests for every account you have signed up on your individual SaneBox account.
