Securing your SaneBox account

Secure Your SaneBox Account in 4 Easy Steps

Here’s how to keep your SaneBox account safe and sound:

1. Check for Suspicious Logins:

  • Visit your SaneBox Security Dashboard and review “Recent Activity” for any unfamiliar logins.
  • If you see something suspicious, click “Log Out All Sessions” to immediately revoke access from other devices.

2. Manage Connected Services:

  • In your Security Dashboard, review the “Connected Services” section. This shows services like cloud storage linked to your SaneBox account for attachments.
  • If you find an unknown service, revoke its authorization and double-check your SaneAttachment settings to ensure everything is as intended.

3. Strengthen Your Login:

  • Review your login method in the Security Dashboard.
    • If you use a password, change it immediately by clicking “(change)” next to the relevant email address.
    • For other login methods like Google, Yahoo, or Outlook, consider changing the password for that service as well. Remember, a compromised email account could grant access to SaneBox.
    • Changing your email service password will require re-authorizing SaneBox for access.

4. Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA):

  • For an extra layer of security, turn on 2FA in your Security Dashboard. This requires installing an app like Google Authenticator (available on iOS and Android) or 1Password (also on iOS and Android).
  • These apps generate temporary 6-digit codes you’ll need to log in to SaneBox, adding an additional verification step.

By following these steps, you can ensure your SaneBox account remains secure and only accessible by you.
