AirMail mobile - iOS: Finding SaneLater or other new folders

SaneBox and the AirMail mobile client app for iOS

SaneBox works with nearly any email client, device or provider (with the exception of POP-only providers, and there are very few of those left). The whole point of SaneBox is to get unimportant emails out of your way so that you can deal with your important ones now. Our email robots “talk” to your email server and instruct it to process all of those unimportant emails and put them into SaneLater (or other Sane folders you activate) so that you can speed up review by subject content and either archive or delete them when you have free low-priority moments later.

All your emails stay on your server

At no time does your emails leave your host’s email server. In other words, SaneBox never downloads your email nor does it upload your emails to your SaneBox Dashboard (account). All emails processed by SaneBox will always remain in your own personal (or work) email account.

How do I locate where to see Sane folders from in AirMail for iOS

For some hosts your @Sane folders may not be shown by AirMail automatically and you will need to complete the steps below. For other hosts it may just be a matter of shutting down your iPhone and restarting it, so try that first.

Follow these steps if needed

  1. Access your AirMail Menu, by tapping to open up that view.

  2. Look for the “Edit” link near the bottom of your listing and tap to edit the selection of items to show.

  3. Move down the list to locate the option to select to show “Labels” and mark that item. Then select “Done”.

Now you can expand the list to see @SaneLater or other new SaneBox destination folders become visible.

If you still don’t see @SaneLater or your other SaneBox folders, you might be using POP server settings to access your email account. You need to switch to an IMAP incoming server configuration in order to use SaneBox. Luckily, here are instructions on how to do that. You can use the examples for other common mobile email app software choices, to compare with the settings layout specific to AirMail for iOS: https://pop2imap.com

TIP: AirMail for iOS has an extra “Sync All Labels” choice, under each email account entry. From your AirMail iOS Menu: look for and tap “Settings”. Then choose the email account. Under settings for that email account, you can toggle on that extra sync option.
