Inspired by the Inbox Masters: The Birth of SaneBox
The inspiration for SaneBox came from several brilliant minds who tackled the email problem head-on. These persuasive blog posts sparked the initial concept for SaneBox:
- Bijan Sabet: His posts on Bijan Sabet’s blog like “Thinking about simple inbox hacks” and “Little things to make email better” offered practical tips and highlighted the need for a smarter email solution.
- Fred Wilson: AVC, Fred Wilson’s blog, featured insightful articles like “Some Thoughts On Email After Dealing With 500 Emails” and “Social Networking vs Email” that emphasized the growing email burden and the limitations of traditional solutions.
- Michael Arrington: Michael Arrington’s posts on TechCrunch, such as “2,433 Unread Emails Is An Opportunity For An Entrepreneur” and “Want Me To Read Your Email? Pay Me.”, highlighted the growing problem of email overload and the need for a more efficient way to manage it.
We saw the potential in these ideas, recognizing a shared frustration with the state of email. These blog posts, combined with our own experiences, laid the foundation for what would become SaneBox.
