About the SaneBox Digest

The Digest is a summary email sent to you at your preferred times that highlights:

  • Unread Unimportant Emails: Quickly identify emails you haven’t opened that SaneBox considers unimportant.
  • Recent Reminders: View any reminders you’ve recently created using SaneBox.

No Digest Spam
  • You won’t receive a Digest if there’s no new activity meaning you’ve opened all recently sorted emails.
  • Missed Digests will accumulate if you’re away and don’t check your email.

Special Features
  • Do Not Disturb mode will delay your next Digest until the Do Not Disturb period ends.

Always In Control

Access your Sane folders directly within your regular email app for tasks like archiving, trashing, or training.

See What’s in Your SaneBox Digest

The SaneBox Digest comes in two parts:

  1. Digest Email Notification:
This email reminds you to check your Digest and might include a brief summary of what’s waiting for you.

  1. Web App Digest View:

Log in to the SaneBox web app to see the full Digest, which includes:

  • Unopened Emails: A list of emails categorized as unimportant that you haven’t opened yet.
  • Reminders: Any reminders you’ve recently created using SaneBox.

Spot Important Emails in Your Digest

The SaneBox Digest uses colored dots to help you prioritize your emails:

Green Dot: This marks emails from new senders. These emails are sorted to the top of your Digest for easy review. Decide if you want to keep the sender (e.g., potential new client) or delete them.

Orange Dot: This highlights emails from senders you’ve previously marked for deletion using “SaneBlackHole.” Easily delete these emails with the provided “SaneBlackHole this sender” link.

Benefits:
  • Identify new contacts quickly.
  • Efficiently manage unwanted emails.

What’s Inside Your Digest?

  • Unread Emails: Review emails categorized as unimportant that haven’t been opened yet.
  • New Contacts: Easily identify emails from new senders, grouped for quick action.
  • Training Summary: See recent training actions for transparency.
  • “Many Folks Find This Sender Bothersome” Flag:” Easily identify emails you might want to delete.

Taking Action on Your Emails:

The Digest provides a streamlined interface for managing your emails:

  • Snooze: Temporarily hide emails and bring them back later.
  • Train a Contact: Designate where you want emails from a specific sender to go (Inbox, SaneLater, etc.).
  • Create Filters: Block emails based on domain or subject.
  • Mark As Read: Remove bold formatting from unread emails in your email app.
  • Archive: Save emails for reference without cluttering your Inbox.
  • Trash: Delete unwanted emails.
  • Move to Inbox Once: Move a specific email from a sender to your Inbox, but keep future emails from them sorted as usual. !

More Actions After Training

The Digest lets you take additional actions on emails after you’ve trained them:

1. Archive, Inbox Once, or Trash: Even after training an email to a specific folder (SaneNews, SaneLater, etc.), you can still choose to archive it, move it to your Inbox for one time only (Inbox Once), or delete it completely.

2. Train to Specific Folder: If SaneBox’s automatic sorting doesn’t put an email where you want it, use the “Train To” menu to designate a specific Sane folder for it (Inbox, SaneLater, etc.). This allows you to fine-tune your email organization.

3. Move to Personal Folder (Optional):

The Digest also lets you move emails to your custom folders. However, this action won’t train SaneBox to move future emails from that sender to that folder.

Note:

If you don’t see the “Move To” option, it might be due to having too many personal folders. Contact SaneBox support for help.

This section addresses frequently asked questions about the SaneBox Digest:

Q: Can I see recent changes to my training settings in the Digest?

Yes! The Digest includes a section summarizing your recent training actions, allowing for quick adjustments if needed.

Q: What does the “Got It” button do?

After reviewing your latest training updates in the Digest, clicking “Got It” ensures these specific changes won’t appear again for 24 hours or until you acknowledge them.

Q: How can I adjust the frequency of my Digest emails?

You can customize your Digest delivery schedule in the “Settings” section of your dashboard, specifically under “Digest”. The Digest can be sent as often as every hour, multiple times a day, or even just on weekdays depending on your preference.

To improve efficiency, SaneBox might group emails with similar senders or subject lines. These groupings are based on surface-level information. You can click the number next to a group to expand it and train emails individually.
